Not a trade stand.
A platform.

"The Innovation Showcase exists to make the best ideas in this industry impossible to ignore."

The CSSA Innovation Showcase is one of the association's flagship programmes - a curated, judged event within the London Cleaning Show where businesses bring their most innovative thinking in front of a live, engaged industry audience.

Unlike a trade stand, the Showcase is a structured competition. Entrants present their innovation - whether a new product, a smarter process, a technology deployment, or a service model - to an audience of operators, buyers, and peers. All entrants receive written feedback from an independent judging panel.

The Showcase runs alongside the Metsa Sustainability Awards ceremony at the London Cleaning Show in March 2027 - the industry's most concentrated moment of recognition, ambition, and connection.

A live presentation slot

Selected entrants present to a live audience at the London Cleaning Show - one of the sector's most attended events of the year.

Independent judging & written feedback

An expert panel assesses every entry against published criteria. All entrants receive written feedback - not just those shortlisted.

Year-round recognition

Winners and finalists are promoted across CSSA's website, publications, social channels, and events for the full year following the Showcase.

The right room

The London Cleaning Show brings together operators, buyers, suppliers, and decision-makers - the people who can actually act on your innovation.

Five areas where
the industry is moving.

Innovation in this industry is not one-dimensional. It happens in technology, process, people management, product development, and client delivery. Each category captures a different kind of progress.

Category 01

Service Model Innovation

A new approach to service design, delivery, or client partnership that has produced better outcomes - for the client, the frontline operative, or the environment. If it has made the workforce's working life better and improved client results, it belongs here.

Category 02

Technology & Digital Innovation

A technology solution - software, IoT, robotics, AI, or data platform - that has improved operational efficiency, quality assurance, or client reporting in a cleaning or FM context.

Category 03

Training & Workforce Innovation

An innovative approach to recruiting, training, retaining, or developing people - including apprenticeships, digital learning, wellbeing programmes, or workforce diversity initiatives.

Category 04

Social Impact

An initiative that has created measurable positive social value - for employees, communities, or underrepresented groups. This includes fair employment practices, mental health support, inclusion programmes, and initiatives that go beyond compliance.

Category 05

Green Innovation

An innovation specifically designed to reduce environmental impact: carbon, water, waste, chemical load, or plastic consumption. Evidenced outcomes required.

Open to all

Members & non-members welcome.

The Showcase is for the whole industry. Entry is free. It's also the best possible introduction to what CSSA membership looks like in practice.

Four steps to being
part of the Showcase.

01 Originality Genuinely new - not just an iteration
02 Impact Measurable outcomes - not claims
03 Applicability Relevant beyond one client or contract
04 Presentation Clear and compelling to any audience

Submit your written entry

Complete the entry form for your chosen category. Describe the innovation, the problem it solves, the development process, and the outcomes delivered. Evidence is everything - be specific. All entrants are invited to the Innovators' Pitch.

2

Innovators' Pitch

All entrants present to a panel of leading UK industry figures. Following a concise presentation, applicants face questions and testing of their innovations. The judging panel then selects a shortlist for the Showcase itself. All entrants receive written feedback.

3

Shortlist & selection

Following the Innovators' Pitch, the judging panel selects a shortlist for each category. All entrants receive written feedback at this stage - whether shortlisted or not.

4

Present at the London Cleaning Show

Shortlisted entrants exhibit and present live at the London Cleaning Show in March 2027. Winners are announced at the event and recognised across CSSA's communications for the full year following the Showcase.

Got a question?

Any organisation involved in the professional cleaning or support services industry can enter - manufacturers, service providers, distributors, and technology companies. You do not need to be a CSSA member. Entry is free.

We welcome new products, services, processes, digital tools, sustainability initiatives, and business models that advance the cleaning industry. The innovation does not have to be brand new to market - it must have been developed or significantly improved within the last three years.

Most entrants complete the form in 30-60 minutes. You will be asked to describe your innovation, explain what makes it new or different, and provide supporting evidence. You can save your progress and return to it before the deadline.

All entrants are invited to present to the judging panel in late October 2026 in a Dragons' Den-style pitch session. Every entrant receives written feedback. Shortlisted entrants are notified in November and invited to exhibit at the London Cleaning Show in March 2027.

Entry to the Innovation Showcase is completely free. Shortlisted entrants are given a dedicated exhibition space on the CSSA stand at the London Cleaning Show at no additional cost.
